Haha, I'm just busting your chops, you ran an excellent race! Too bad about your knee, but great job getting across the line!

Most of the actual Ironman brand races are sold out, but you still have a shot at Florida. Florida was my first race, and it's a good one. It's flat, fast, and warm! It's in november, and you have to be online the morning after the race clicking the "register" like crazy... and you may get in. One note: Aoid Ironman Loiusville. It's a pretty crappy version of the iM and that's why it doesn't sell out (when the other ones sell out in literally minutes).

There are a lot of Iron distance races popping up, and they have lower price tags and fewer racers. I am planning to do Cedar Point next september (that's one off brand that doesn't have a lower price tag, grr) in Sandusky, OH.

oops, I've got to run! ttys!

Hey, Bob! Good to hear from you. You're right. That wasn't quite the Ironman. But it was part of it... the part I needed to test the most. Now I need to find a 70.4 for this coming winter or spring and a Full for the summer or fall of 2010. Any suggestions?

And there it is: The real answer to “why would anyone run a marathon,” hiding in between the words pain and punishment. If you look close, and maybe squint a little, you can see the word triumph.

Nice job Todd!

You did everything right, but you didn't warm up properly.... you should have done a 2.4 mile swim and 112 mile bike first!
