Bobby has over 25 years of experience as a Coach and Learning Leader for Talent Development in corporate environments as well as government boards and faith- based organizations. He has provided executive development coaching to Corporate and Regional VPs, as well as Directors, department heads and their teams, small business owners, and high-potential managers across multiple functional areas such as operations, marketing, sales, finance and accounting, shipping, human resources, and customer service.
Bobby’s expertise lies in cultural and behavioral change, emotional intelligence, change management, employee engagement, consultative selling, performance consulting, and community engagement. His speaking opportunities include invitations from the Association of Talent Development, American Management Association, National Speakers Association, and Cranfield University.
Career Background
Bobby has more than 20 years of experience directing Training and Development and leading HR functions. Presently he is the Director of Training and Development for Greyhound Lines where he manages the training functions for all 3,000 employees in the United States and Mexico. He leads organizational change and talent development through executive coaching, leadership training, organizational and sales development, diversity training and mentoring.
Prior to his career at Greyhound Lines, Bobby was the HR Director for Builders FirstSource where he supported an employee base of 6,700 leading all HR functions including coaching and training. He was also a Leadership Performance Consultant for First Horizon Home Loans where he implemented a mentoring program matching new supervisors with veteran managers and worked cross-culturally with First Tennessee Bank as a consultant to their Total Compensation Service Center.
Education and Certifications
Bobby earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Journalism from Trinity University and earned a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is certified in Executive and Professional Coaching from the Jindal School of Management at the University of Texas at Dallas and a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) from the International Coach Federation.
Bobby is also a Certified Leading at the Speed of Trust Instructor for FranklinCovey, a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, and credentialed in the Multi-Health Systems EQ-i 2.0 and EQ-i 360 emotional intelligence assessments.
