Harvey Young

Harvey has over 25 years of experience in leadership development as an executive coach, facilitator of meetings and offsites for senior leaders, and as a senior leader in a number of for profit and non-profit organizations. He has worked in North America and the UK helping leaders with strategy execution, leadership development, and planning. Harvey’s work largely
focuses on the behavioral changes that leaders need to make to achieve their desired results and to achieve their goals. Harvey is skilled at quickly developing relationships of trust, and through those relationships he is able to guide leaders in improving their presence, planning, and decision making. Beyond that, Harvey also helps leaders to consistently practice the disciplines that are necessary to follow through on their most worthy goals and initiatives.

Harvey has partnered with leaders in finance, banking, technology, insurance, and professional services. Because of his experience as a leader of large organizations, he is able to help leaders and individuals plainly see the issues that impact organizational and personal performance. His work helping individuals to become more productive and focused ultimately leads to their ability to execute more consistently, communicate effectively, and make progress on their goals.

As President of West Penn Financial Service Center, Harvey oversaw the  $350 million retail/wholesale mortgage banking company. He managed all operations, including development of products and prices and was directly responsible for marketing the organization. In addition, Harvey served as the Chief Operating Officer for the Housing Authority for the City of Pittsburgh. There, he was responsible for a staff of 550 employees, including a private police force, and an annual operating budget of $117 million.
