Rhodes brings 15 years of cross-sectional leadership and change management expertise, having served clients in large government, corporate, and non-profit organizations as both a senior-level executive, executive coach and consultant. His specific areas of expertise include cultural transformation, inclusive leadership development, change management, government affairs, and implementation of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. He excels in supporting emerging leaders as they transition into new leadership roles, executive strategy and alignment with the purpose of the organization and accelerating the development of inclusive leaders. He has coached executives with the titles of Board Chair, CEO, President, Csuite, VP and Senior VP, Global Partner, Executive Director, Senior Director, and Director.

Business and Career Background
Rhodes has a diverse career background that has shaped him into a dynamic coach and leader. He spent several years as a Paralegal at the U.S. Department of Justice, and later became a Program Examiner for the Office of Management and Budget in the Executive Office of the President. There, he forecasted and provided President’s Budget guidance for Social Security’s $10 billion annual operating budget, which covers the salaries and expenses for the agency’s 70,000 employees and 1,300 field offices. He also evaluated means-tested programs like the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) Program and executed improvement strategies, resulting in an annual savings of $20 million. Rhodes later became the Director of Policy for PFLAG National, where he authored and delivered testimony on behalf of the organization, participating in strategic hearings in states and localities across the country and directed all organizational policy strategy and advocacy campaigns at the federal, state, and local levels, providing supervision to key program staff. Before starting his own coaching practice, Rhodes was also the Senior Advisor and Founding Director of the Office of LGBTQ Policy and Practice for the City of New York.
Education and Certification
Rhodes earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Gender Studies from the University of Notre Dame, and a Master of Public Administration from New York University. He is credentialed to perform a variety of individual and organizational assessments and tools, including the Riso-Hudson Insight Approach and the TEAMS Transformation Process.
